This site will provide all of the details necessary to demonstrate how to connect a 'thing' via the Internet to an application. It will break the procedure down into discrete steps that will build to show the options available across the complete process.  It will rely heavily on 'hands on' demonstrations and solutions that use the power of low cost consumer grade components such as the 'Arduino' and 'Raspberry Pi' and only employs 'Open Source' software.

    This is a brief introduction to The Things Network in Cardiff.  It is based on 'Arwain' an earlier Open initiative that provided free 'WiFi' access in 2001.
